Zimek's Touch-Free™ Rapid Decontamination Systems have the ability to access, kill, and reduce the spread of infectious microbes (bacteria, viruses, and fungi) utilizing Zimek's patented Touch-Less™ Micro-Mist™ technology (see Zimek Technology).

Zimek has developed two distinct Touch-Free™ Rapid Decontamination Systems: the “ROC” Rapid Decontamination System and the “MAX” Rapid Decontamination System, both of which achieve "Touch-Free"™ decontamination because the Micro-Mist™ applications they disperse are A-U-T-O-M-A-T-I-C. No operator is involved during the automatic dispersion of the Micro-Mist™, or during the subsequent automatic removal of the Micro-Mist™ by Zimek's Z-vac^®.

	On May 6, 2010, Zimek received ETL certification for its Touch-Free™ Rapid Decontamination Systems conforming to: Standard for Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control, and Laboratory Use (including hospitals and healthcare facilities); Part 1: General Requirements (ANSI/UL 61010-1-2004, 2nd Ed., Rev. 10/28/08 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1, 2nd Ed. 2004). Certifying agency and third party testing for ETL compliance was performed by Intertek Testing Services in Cortland, New York.
	On March 28, 2008, Zimek Systems were CE certified in accordance with: Machinery Directive 97/37/EC (amended); Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC; and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2004/108/EC. Zimek Systems are in conformity with Standards EN 12100-1, EN 12100-2, EN 60204-1, EN 61000-6-2, and EN 61000-6-3. CE testing and certification was performed by Antietam Compliance Company (ACC) in Myersville, MD.

To perform a room Micro-Mist™ application, Zimek’s Touch-Free™ Rapid Decontamination System consists of a Micro-Mist™ Generator (ROC or MAX) and Z-vac^® Micro-Particle Evacuator.




To perform a vehicle Micro-Mist™ treatment, Zimek’s Touch-Free™ Rapid Decontamination System consists of a Micro-Mist™ Generator (ROC or MAX) and a vehicle decontamination application (see Vehicle Decontamination Applications).

Zimek's vehicle decontamination applications include:
• Vehicle Decontamination Overlay (VDO);
• Rapid Decontamination Port (RDP);
• Vehicle Decontamination Insert (VDI); and
• Rapid Decontamination Vent (RDV).

For vehicle applications in garages or other interior spaces which lack sufficient ventilation, Zimek's Z-vac^® and its Vehicle adapter can also be used to remove any remaining Micro-Mist™ from treated vehicles at the conclusion of a vehicle Micro-Mist™ application.
