Company Profile

Kurt E. Grosman,
President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Grosman is a co-founder of Zimek and Zimek IP, and acts as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Zimek Technologies Management Company. Kurt has an extensive background in general business and tax law. He has represented many successful start-up ventures and has assisted in capitalizing new businesses with proprietary technologies.

Kurt's interest in the efficacy of micro-particle disinfectant treatments grew out of a personal tragedy involving a colleague who suffered and ultimately died from MRSA. Prior to joining the ZIMEK team, Kurt managed a "boutique law practice" in Orlando, Florida which represented a wide variety of clients ranging from publicly held companies, successful business entrepreneurs, European and Asian investors, notable celebrities, and famous athletes.

Kurt received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and graduated from New York University Law School in 1985.

David Sparks,
Executive Vice President of Research and Development

Mr. Sparks is a co-founder of ZIMEK and ZIMEK IP, and acts as the Executive Vice President of Research and Development of Zimek Technologies Management Company.  He and Roy Beckett are the co-inventors of Zimek's Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle Decontaminating Technology.  David was born in Florida and as a child began to demonstrate his fascination and talent with formulating and mixing chemical compounds.  When he was only five years old, he began to mix soaps, oils, and his mother’s perfume to create his own brand of scented hand soaps for use by his family and friends.

Both during and after high school, David sought to broaden his knowledge of chemistry and the practical applications of formulating chemical compounds through apprenticing under his friend and mentor, Dr. Sterling Vines, who was a noted professor of chemical engineering at the University of Virginia.  Dr. Vines’ experience included working with Dow Chemical, Dupont, and many other chemical companies as a specialty chemical formulator and problem solver.

After his apprenticeship with Dr. Vines, David began his career as an entrepreneur by formulating a specialized cleaner for use in conjunction with pressure washers to remove years of oxidized dirt and paint from railroad cars without brushing.  David then worked overseas as a consultant to British Petroleum in the emulsion breakdown of crude oil to assist in environmental clean-ups in Trinidad and Tobago.

David returned to the United States and opened a hydro-engineering and chemical manufacturing business in Florida.  In 1993, David met Roy Beckett and assisted Roy in the formulation of specialty roofing chemical compounds utilized in Roy’s New Life Technology business.

In early 2004, David began working with Roy to develop ZIMEK's Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle Decontaminating Technology through a company he co-owned with Roy called Sani-Kare, LLC.

David’s broad talents in designing chemical formulations and mechanical engineering have been critical to the development of ZIMEK’s Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle Generator.  David continues to invest all his energies into further refining and enhancing ZIMEK’s Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle technology because of his determination and belief that the application of ZIMEK’s Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle Decontaminating treatments to indoor spaces at hospitals and other public facilities will save lives.
